[plug] /dev/floppy

Can i edit the line in /etc/fstab to recognise multiple media format's. ??
At the moment it looks something like this,

/dev/fd0    /mnt/floppy     ext2     user,noauto,rw  0    0

Whenever i try to access files from a win/fat  floppy in an x file manager
it states it cant read due to an 
incorrect fs type or bad block . I have tried a packet of floppies even two
new ones with the same error. 
Any suggestions ?
