Hi all,
Has anyone managed to get Bind 9.1.0 running...? I am using the deb from
unstable at the moment and am trying to get a split DNS running...
As far as I can tell I have all my config files correct (according to
named-checkconf and named-checkzone) but on trying to start bind I get
the following in /var/log/daemon.log:
Feb 20 10:34:25 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14683]: starting BIND 9.1.0
Feb 20 10:34:25 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14683]: using 1 CPU
Feb 20 10:34:26 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: loading configuration from '/etc/bind/named.conf'
Feb 20 10:34:27 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: no IPv6 interfaces found
Feb 20 10:34:27 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: listening on IPv4 interface lo, 127.0.0.1#53
Feb 20 10:34:27 ruby modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module net-pf-10
Feb 20 10:34:28 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: listening on IPv4 interface eth0, 192.168.1.2#53
Feb 20 10:34:28 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: listening on IPv4 interface ppp0, 202.72.130.12#53
Feb 20 10:34:29 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: confip.c:831: REQUIRE((((l) != ((void *)0)) && (((const isc__magic_t *)(l))->magic == ( 0x49706c73)))) failed
Feb 20 10:34:29 ruby /usr/sbin/named[14685]: exiting (due to assertion failure)
Having a look at the source deb line 831 of confip.c is
REQUIRE(DNS_C_IPLIST_VALID(l));
in a function called dns_c_iplist_detach.
I suppose I just want to know whether anyone else has Bind9.1.0 running
and it is something to do with my config or is the deb just stuffed...?
Cheers
Kim
