Using procmail would be an alternative solution, I can't see why anyone
would think of it as a "band-aid fix".

As opposed to letting a relative stranger work on your machine directly
who will definitely have access to your password?

I can't see how standing over someone's shoulder would help either of
you more than doing it yourself with help is better but that's just me.
I haven't seen anyone say not to bring your server to the next meeting,
just a complete lack of comprehension as to *why* you would want to.
Given that it's actually a simple fetchmail problem I'm sure there will
be someone there able to look at it, in fact I'll go out on a limb and
say I think the problem is that your ISP iiNet uses qmail which has
different envelope headers on multi-drop POP accounts while you probably
have it set up looking for the sendmail defaults.

Steve
