 Alright, for all those of you who said metoo, here it is.
 
 Given a redhat 6.2 machine, retrieve the following packages:
 

ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/rpm/dist/rpm-4.0.x/db3-devel-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm
 ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/rpm/dist/rpm-4.0-7x.src.rpm
 
 Depending on what you've already got installed, you might also need
 popt-1.5-9.6x.i386.rpm (from redhat/updates/6.2)
 python-devel-1.5.2-13.i386.rpm (from the rh6.2 cd)
 
 Install the rpms:
 
 rpm -Uvh popt-1.5-9.6x.i386.rpm
 rpm -Uvh python-devel-1.5.2-13.i386.rpm
 rpm -Uvh db3-devel-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm
 rpm --rebuild rpm-4.0-7x.src.rpm
 
 Upgrade your rpmdb:
 rpm --rebuilddb
