Hi,
If you are not interested in 3d graphics, why don't you try a to get a G400
or some other matrox card isecond hand. (don't bother bying it new since it
costs a fortune ($350 for a G450)). Or, maybe a voodoo3 or a 3dfx banshee
card (if you can find either cheaply enough)
You could always try one of the Xfree 3.3.6 servers instead of the more
modern 4.0 server. They are a lot more compatible with hardware. (Xfree 4.0
is great if you can get it running. I had to modify the source code in the
G400 driver to get Xfree 4.0.0 to work with it :-) )
