[plug] ssh and telnet problem

Can you telnet or ssh from the machine that you can't access, to
itself?  If not, are you sure that telnetd and sshd are installed?  If
there are, are there any firewall rules in place (ipchains -L)?  Also
check /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny.
