Just for fun, compare the configuration files of the two machines
(/etc/ssh/sshd_config) and check they are the same. I have had problems
with "Listen 0.0.0.0" on unstable on one machine (every other "unstable"
distrirbution machine I have has been fine). You may get weirdness despite
them being exactly the same, but its worth checking. However, I regularly
SSH into machines that are 486 or Pentium, and they prompt for a
passphrase/password within one second.

And watch out for the change of default SSH protocol in the new SSH
packages in "unstable": version 2 is the default now, not version 1, so
you should generate a new SSH2 keypair, with "ssh-keygen -t rsa": your
public key needs to go into ~/.ssh/authorized_keys2 for machines you want to
SSH into.
