[plug] mgetty errors interpretation needed

Hi again,

Ok, I've looked and I should've realized mgetty is the place to look in the
first place, so thanks for those pointers. .. now the next issue ...

Following is the extract from the /var/log/mgetty.ttyE8 :

I can find nowhere where it is supposed to be using the group 'modem' and
apart from that, the group actually exists.

I read the pppd man page several times without picking anything up,

Any pointers welcome.. even if it is sending more data (ie. tell me what you
need to check :).
