[plug] Telnet and FTP

Hi all,

Got yet anther question for you's.
I run Red Hat 6.2 standard.

I've edited /etc/hosts.allow, hosts.deny and inetd.conf to allow only 
the protocols and IP addresses I want to have access to my machine.

What's got me buggered, I can't even telnet from the server back into 
itself !
telnet 192.168.0.185 gives:
Trying 192.168.0.185
Dconnected to 192.168.0.185
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.

Trying to telnet to 127.0.0.1 gives the same result.

FTP will connect but it takes about a minute to get through.
Anyone have any ideas? do you want to see me hosts.allow, hosts.deny and 
inetd.conf files?
