My mate uses Comswest up there and another mate uses Bigpond.  He has no
problems with them and tells me he only gets kicked off when lighting hits
the exchange and the lightning arrestors take a hit momentarily.  You can
draw you own conclusions about Bigpond but I use them when I travel to
Broome.  I have another friend who use a company with the domain wn.com.au
(Ithink it is westnet or something but ask around the locals at the Divers
tavern or something.  I think TPG (Total Peripheral Group) have a outlet or
an agency or maybe even an office.  Try Broome Office Supplies and the
Retra - vision ?  Or go and ask one of the ferals at the markets coz they
will know where net access is at coz they have to email mum and dad in
Mosman or Byron Bay every now and then for more money :)
