[plug] Masquerading ICQ?

Quick question:

I have heard reports that ICQ2k doesn't work with
Linux-based IP masquerading. Anyone able to confirm or
deny?

If it is correct, any ideas as to how to overcome
this? Most sources suggest a SOCKS proxy, any thoughts
on which one(s) are best?
