I'd suggest you sign up for online billing with Telstra, and then you can
view your current bill online. So that should tell you whether you're being
charged for a local call or an STD call. Its also a very good idea do have
if you're going to be doing DoV over it soon as well, so you can make sure
you really are making a DoV call and not an expensive data call pretty soon
on, before you get a very nasty shock.
