rrdtool would be a better option for that, and it speeds up log processing
as well.
In fact, most of the MRTG stuff is moving towards rrdtool
That being said, I used to use a shell script to find out stuff like that
and run that from mrtg.conf

Greetings folks.
I presently use mrtg to monitor the throughput of ethernet interfaces.
Can anyone tell me how/if I can get mrtg to pull CPU and memory usage
information out of the Linux SNMP as well?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Chris Griffin
