Speaker: Mike Tan.
Topic: Building Storage Area Networks with Sun storage
infrastructure.
Local Sun Microsystems system engineer Mike Tan will discuss the current
state-of-play for Storage Area Networks in the organisation and the
future of
storage technology for creating a SAN.
Mike will provide an overview of storage area network topologies,
including
switch types, zoning LUN masking and management. A synopsis of Sun's
storage
products, switches and infrastructure is also examined, as an example of
Sun's
current and future SAN designs.

Get to know your fellow system administrators.
We shall meet at the back of the pub at about 6pm then move through
to the Raine room at about 6:30. After the talk some light food will
be available. Drinks can be purchased at the bar.
