I'm not sure bin Laden is feeling scared.  His organisation has struck 
countless times before with the US or its allies being able stop him, let 
alone find him.  I feel the only reasons for bin Laden to be concerned is if 
his organisation isn't the one that performed the terrorist attack, or if he 
believes his situation in Afghanistan now isn't secure.

Actually, last I heard a Palestinian faction had claimed responsibility.  
They also have a history of plane hijacking.
