I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it does raise the
possibility of an install which consists of copying the contents of a
CD to a HDD, having a fully-functional system instantly, and only
afterwards tweaking, tuning and adding stuff (i.e. install first, ask
questions later, rather than the current ask questions first, install
later).
Bearing in mind that most end users want something that just works,
and couldn't care less about optimisations which happen during
install, this might be a more mass-market-friendly approach than that
of current distros (and other OSes), it seems to me.
