[plug] perl question

For all you perl gods out there...

I have a script that calls another script, and that called script has the 
following in it.

if (!$username) {

		print "$auth_error10";

		exit;

	}

at that exit command the whole script stops (ie the table where the print 
command was writing doesnt continue on)

Is there something I can put ther that will tell it to go back to the original 
script and continue on?

Hopefully this makes sense....
