Much agreed. I was almost tempted to unsubscribe myself.

There's 65 message in my inbox with subject containing "attachments" that
I've not read yet, so I haven't really followed the discussion, but I have
had enough already.

Again, agreed. People seem to be forgetting that although PLUG
isn't paying for bandwidth, somebody is.

As Bernard says, if you want to send an attachment, send it privately, or
stick it up on a website. If you are a PLUG member, you have access to
webspace on Spark.

As of right now, the PLUG list has been limited to <30kB messages.
I hope that ends the discussion.

Also, if a virus <30kB slips through, I don't care. I don't believe it is
up to a list maintainer to protect it's members from virii - if your
system is susceptible to virus infection then you will be infected via
another source, so blocking it at the list level isn't really doing
anyone any favours.

Now, can we please go back to discussing Linux?

Thanks :)

 - Matt
