[plug] Dial-up Dramas

I use debian, if i want to see whats going on, i type
tail -f /var/log/messages
on one console,and then "pon" on the other one. "pon" is the script that i
use to makemy internet connection.

hi Guys

Can someone please help me out with a dialup drama, I have contacted
iiNet support and they dont offer services to assist linux users, besides
there redhat section.

I am using Mandrake 8.1 and can get the system to dialup and make the
connection ok but then the connection drops out shortly after

Can anyone offer some pointers on what would be causing this
