Event Description:
Venue: Lecture Theatre TAFE CMC - 25 Aberdeen St, Perth. Use the Museum 
Street entrance. Turn left from the foyer and then take the furthest 
corridor on the left (closest to the Aberdeen Street entrance - 
unfortunately closed after 6pm). The Lecture Theatre should be clearly 
marked. If you get lost, ask security (in the foyer).

Topic: An Overview of Systems Integration with Linux

Summary

When introducing Linux into a workplace it is seldom immediately rolled out 
to the desktop. On the other hand neither is it necessary to restrict this 
powerful operating system to the role of an Internet gateway or internal 
mail server. This seminar will give an overview of some of the basic steps 
to be taken in order to integrate a Linux server into a legacy Microsoft, 
Apple or Novell based office network, in order to take full advantage of 
the strengths of each environment.
