I asked questions, initially; I was trying to determine what was
happening.

Where did I slander WASP? I did not make any statements about WASP, that
were, as far as I am aware, untrue.

I note that I am the only subscriber to this list, that has had this
response to a message relating to an ISP, even though other subscribers
have repeatedly condemned ISPs' on this list.

Does that mean that we will have no more comments about Microsoft, and,
all the other rubbish that we have had on this list, that is irrelevant
to Linux, or, does this just apply to me?

I also note that, while the people at WASP read the mailing list
messages, my call was not acknowledged by WASP,until the message that I
posted to the list, about the length of time since leaving the message,
was distributed by the list, and, the person from WASP, who phoned me and
complained, said that my message had been missed, when they were
responding to messages.

I also note, regarding your comments that I should have done the
research; given that this is a Linux mailing list, information has come
out of this, that has increased my knowledge of the workings, which, I
understand, is the purpose of the list.

And, as I said to the person from WASP, who phoned me, and, in a
previous message posted on the list, the occurrence of the name bekkers,
in the bounce message, was unexpected, and, I explained the effect of
that, and, the circumstances.

In terms of the "slander" aspect, you may, or, may not, recall, that I was
personally slandered, by a person on this list, some time ago, and, that
person is still on this list, and, no action was ever taken about that
slander, and, you did not make any comment about the misconduct, at that
time. Once again, it appears that some rules apply to some on the list,
and, other rules apply to others, but the same rules do not apply to all
on the list, equally.

It appears to me, that, given that, in the past, you, yourself, have
explicitly stated that this list will not be subject to moderation, it
appears to me that whether an incident is moderated, depends on who the
complainant is, and, on who the person against who the complaint is made,
is.

I also note that, when the man from WASP phoned me, and, offered an
exaplanation, I also offered an explanation, in trying to resolve the
matter, in good faith. If WASP did not want resolution, there was not much
that I could do about that.

I also expected, that, as list administrator, if there was a problem
specific to my conduct on the list, that you would have taken it up with
me, personally, by direct contact, rather than in the public domain of the
mailing list. As you have taken the issue of my conduct into the public
doamin of the mailing list, my response to your message to the mailing
list, is also made to the mailing list. One of the two principles of
natural justice (of which Jeremy will know, if none else on the list
will); audi alteram partem - the right by all parties to be heard. If you
damn me on the mailing list, unilaterally, then I have a right to respond,
in the same forum.
