prob is not really for me, cos I can run it from shell, but for gf, who
wants everything on the desktop (fair enough too) ...

I find it surprising that this is so hard ...

Also, does anyone else find Redhat 7.2 a pain?  Nautilus seems worse
than gmc ... at least gmv knows what tar.gz is ...
