>What would a Matrix distro be like?

In regards to what it would be like, I was thinking about having something 
that's still x based (after all, Neo was using a GUI, even if it's made up), 
but all the default themes being set to being as Matrixy as possible.

A few ideas would be a selection of games that are in that sort of genre, or 
anything futuristic etc (like GLTron, NIL, things where you do strange 
battle or games with similar style combat).

Maybe a splash screen with a picture from the film for GUI login page and 
including all of the Matrix style apps that have been included, like the 
screensaver or cmatrix, the little console app/screensaver/demo type thing.

For the WM (window manager) side of things, something like XFce with the GUI 
buttons changed to those on Neo's screen for general operation.
Of course, the sound schemes would need changing and usual shared default 
directories for wallpapers would have lots of pictures from the film.

Now you get the idea, my real intentions were to spur on a project in PLUG, 
as there's a lot of budding users/programmers in it just bursting to make a 
decent contribution and I think that LUGs in general should be a bit more 
communal and try to produce something.

The Matrix is my second favourite idea though, something far cooler would be 
Lain: Serial Experiments, the anime series. Anyone who's seen this programme 
will know how awe inspiring it would be to have a similar looking interface 
which puts  Matrix themem to shame, provided that you could replicate such a 
thing. To anyone thinking of watching the programme, WATCH THE JAPANESE 
VERSION (with subs)! Don't become one of these snotty little anime fans that 
avoid watching the Japanese version and watch the English dubbed version 
instead, because they can't be arsed reading! The Japanese versions are 
always better and have decent voice acting.

Anyway, a Lain theme would be very popular with the underground elite.
