Thanks Anthony for you link, I've have a look when I can find the spare time
  Please keep in mind not all of us are programmers or interested in it. 
Some of us are Network Integrators, others are users.  We can't all be all
things in IT.  I do however appeciate your comment.

Jon,

This is the open source world - if you want something fixed, simply fix it. 
It probably wouldn't be that hard to change KMail so that it displays who
the 
message is from, etc. I'm not volunteering, though.. My mail is already
under 
control.
