I have a 486 DX33 with 12Mb RAM and 420 Mb HDD with Redhat 7.0 installed, no
worries and it works quite well.

I have also just installed Redhat 7.3 (It was a dream to install - no probs
at all) on a Pentium 200MHz with 256 Mb RAM and a 10Gb HDD (5Gb for Linux
and 5Gb for that other piece of c**p from M/soft).

Partition Tables as follows :

C:\ 1506 Mb For Windows (Primary)
/ 305 Mb (Primary)
/usr 4,000 Mb (Logical)
/var 251 Mb (Logical)
/home 400 Mb (Logical)
swap 203 Mb (Logical)
D:\ Windows and DOS software (Logical)
E:\ File storage area (Logical)
F:\ Windows and DOS software (Logical)

I am currently installing Redhat 7.3 on Pentium II - 450 MHz with 256 Mb RAM
and 30 Gb HDD - the Linux partitioning is set out the same as above but the
DOS partitions are much larger.

The partitions on all PC's were created with use of Partition Magic version
5 - Prior to installing both Windows amd Linux.

Everything seems to be working OK.

I would appreciate any supportive comments from any interested person.

Cheers.

Regards Arie
