I found using a Squid proxy a bit unreliable - it was still rather keen to
re-download package indexes. Ok, so I didn't have a huge cache area, and my
settings could've been tweaked.
I ended up having a look at apt-proxy, and although it seems much more
reliable at caching the right stuff (being dedicated solely to apt packaging,
and knowing the significance of certain files), it's still, uh, a little
dodgy.
Has anyone else used it, or other specific apt cache/proxy schemes?
