Never underestimate the beauty of DHCP & DNS:-
...
host pc-craig.sample.org {
    hardware ethernet 00:A0:C9:B0:37:80;
    fixed-address 192.168.1.33;
}
...
AND
...
pc-craig        IN      A       192.168.1.33
...

Or you could try WINS :)
