[plug] problems with woody upgrade - kernal version

I don't know if this applies to debian - but when we
updgraded a RedHat install kernal to a later version,
it still booted using the older version as the lilo
conf file was 'hard' coded to the vmlinux.2??? file
instead of the link file vmlinux (which was linked to
the lastest version), once we changed this - all was
OK.
