Certainly it's been tried often enough since the day the Web went
commercial, and it's never caught on. They've probably come up with
some combination of layers and JavaScript which works well enough when
they want to show it to a venture capitalist. The article tactfully
notes that the person behind this was also behind a free Net access
venture which failed. There's something in here about a fish, a barrel
and a smoking mirror, but I can't quite put my finger on it ...

By the way, welcome back, Simon. Have you started writing everything
in Perl ... yet? (*ducks and runs*)
