[plug] pdf for slides

Hi list,

          I am trying to use pdf for putting together a presentation
(rather than openoffice/impress). It works quite nicely
ie

latex --> ps -- pdf and then use acroread/xpdf to do a full screen
                                               display.

My question is -- doe anyone know of a tool for putting pdf slides
together? I have an existing pdf presentation that I would like to grab
some slides from. Sure i can save the pages as postscript and then
include the postscript in the latex via an
\includegraphics{file.ps}
command -- but it seems very clumsy. Any ideas?
