Ahh yes, don't we love that line. At least I know I have said it a few
times.

I have wondered quite a few times why pump seems to work in all
circumstances. Perhaps it's just a better piece of code?

At UCCLan I recall there were problems with those people who didn't use
pump.
I believe Lathiat also had issues using a non-pump DHCP client with his
SETI bootdisks.
I know that pump is the only trustworthy client on my home network.

Use pump, it's all good ;)
