Yes you can. Please read my prevous messages about configuring
framebuffer, this will make your vt's "bigger" by allowing you to run
them in a higher resoltion than the standard 640x480 provided for by
VGA-TextMode (the normal vt mode on x86, which I assume you would've
mentioned if you weren't using).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There is also some useful
documentation about framebuffer out at linuxdoc.org which you might want
to check out.
