Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think the 'key people'
overlap will reduce with time, especially if SLPWA starts getting
large-corporate membership. But that, like your scenario, is pure
hypothesis.

But yes, if SLPWA brings lots of members to PLUG, its outlook could
potentially have undue influence. Something for both organisations to
consider.

Pronunciation is still settling down. We've had slipwa,
ess-ell-pee-dubbel-yew-ay, and now Leon's slapwa. Variants containing
fricatives will probably emerge at the first SLPWA function at which
alcohol is served.
