Yep.

craig>  ldd `which XFree86`
        libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x40025000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40034000)
        libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x40056000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x4005a000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 =>
	/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

libz allows X to transparently load gzipped files. Cool, eh?
(Debian woody with XFree86 4.1.x on this machine BTW)

I don't think for my employer. Unless stated otherwise, my mail is my opinion.
