I'm assuming your idea involves wireless or IR or network-over-mains.
Otherwise "immense" wwould mean the cat-5 bundle. D'y think ?
Tis a neat idea and one that the smart fridge brigade are probably trying
to solve, too. There are other postage stamp modules other than TINI.
Check http://www.dontronics.com/ They might have some modules that will
get you started.
