Hi Bill

The ISP says to disable DNS in Windows TCP/IP setup - so, "yes", it is a
Windows instruction as both the D-Link device and ISP instructions assume
Windows as the OS.

I will try the measure's you suggested (resolv.conf).  I am not sure what
you mean by: "Also, are you running a real, not a cacheing dns?" - I don't
understand the question ... perhaps you would be kind enough to expand on it
for me.
