[plug] mandrake 8.2 crashing when using browser/ftp

I have been running Mandrake8.2 for about 3 months now and the only hang I 
have ever had was when trying to access a dud floppy one day (which did 
require a reboot). I use kppp for dial up and kmail for all my email, and 
never experienced any trouble.
