Whoops, forgot. It is possible for you to let the other guy actually
dial in directly to your machine too. No more or less secure than any
other option really. It does avoid the dynamic IP issue of most internet
service providers, but on the other hand you have to set up pppd for
dialin and you really need a second phone line, it can be a real pain.
I'd strongly reccomend using ssh first.
You can even forward a GUI app over ssh connections actually. Don't
expect it to be _fast_ (molasses looks fast in comparison) but I've used
Galeon from home over a dial-up link before. Great way to synch those
bookmarks.
