[plug] Linux & Voice Modems

I've come accross a few of Linux users that seem to think winmodems are
evil and never work. This is not true. I'm using a Lucient chipset LT
winmodem and I was able to easily get the drivers from linmodems.org.
I had to download the .debs in Windows and save them to a vfat.
I don't know if this is related but I couldn't get it to work with
pppconfig and I'm using wvdial.
I honestly don't get the external modem thing and see them as waste of
valuable desk real estate.
