Topic: Selecting Trouble Ticket Software

WNI Oceanographers & Meteorologists

This months talk will be on 'Selecting Trouble Ticket Software' and
the experiences Craig has had recently in selecting a package suitable
for the office he works in. The talk will mostly be theoretical with
some horror stories of bad packages available. [and some good ones
about the one he selected ]
Craig Stephenson is the Systems Administrator for WNI Oceanographers
and Meteorologists where he is responsible for a network of Sun and
Linux servers. He has previously work for JTEC, iiNet, the WA State
Govt, the R&I Bank, Wattyl paints and for a while was manager of The
Comic Shop. He started playing around with computers back in 1980. He didn't
learn from the experience so now works with them.

Get to know your fellow system administrators.
We shall meet at the back of the pub at about 6pm. The talk/discussion
shall start at about 6:30 in the RAINE room. After the talk some
light food will be available. Drinks can be purchased at the bar.
