Yep - indeed.  And you'll find that the speed that your phone line gets
on dialup has little to do with the speed you'll get out of DSL.  I've
got a fairly crap line, which runs about 34k with a 56k modem.  With
1500/256 DSL, I'm pulling down 164kBytes/sec from most major international
sites.
