[plug] adsl opinions

ISDN is good technology, just extremely overpriced (compared
internationally), one assumes, to protect tel$tra's profits.

My limited experience with optus is thus: Their 2Mbs/512Kbs service is
blindingly fast. I was at a clients, swapping over from t$ to optus, and
there was an Optus/XYZ technician there. (I don't quite understand who XYZ
are, but they seem to be optus. The adsl modems have XYZ on them).

The modem was having problems, optus had detected this (no call from the
client, as they didn't even know), their systems had raised a trouble-ticket
and sent a tech out to fix it. I was impressed.
