I have another client who uses iiNet as aprimary 1.5Mb link and Optus as a
back (256kb). Their iiNet link dies regularly, Optus has been down _once_ and
it was the modem/router getting a power jag.

They are breath-takingly expensive though. About $270 a month for that, plus
data even to other Optus users who happen to be on a different box on the
same rack. If you're going to spend that much money for reliability, talk to
Patrick.

I didn't know LinuxIT were now onselling WestNet, and will now adjust my
practices accordingly.

For those who don't know them, Matt is extremly bright (probably speaks PERL
in his sleep, I haven't asked) and very high integrity like Nick. If he
ventures a technical opinion, listen to it. Scott I don't know as well, but
what I do know is very encouraging. I think the combination of them will
prove to be an excellent business decision, and it's unquestionably an
enterprise worth supporting. No, I don't hold shares. (-:
