Erm. That may work, although with knobs on it.
Publisher is like a cripple-headed version of Quark or Pagemaker, but
like most MS stuff it does have a sense of document structure.
Powerpoint imports by looking at Headings, body text etc, and pumps
it sideways into a presentation. 
But theres also the whole OLE/COM embedding thing going on.
That makes for bad X-platform compatability.......
