Usual below (standard phrase #145):

Make lunch, not war.

>Are you sure?
>
>I agree with you, dont get me wrong, but you're dealing with more than a 4
>page fanzine here so you need to be *careful*. Acting on a gut feel doesnt
>crack it in this realm. If you are *really* serious, you need to organise
>some market research etc

No, I'm not super sure, it's going on the fact that people are buying UK and
US mags and *assuming* they'd prefer something local and cheaper (and poking
my tongue at Harry (just kidding)).

>Sometimes its difficult to say 'I dont know, how do I find out?' but I
>guarantee you that you'll have to learn that phrase really quickly if you
>want to get this mag off the ground.
>
>Im not trying to sound negative at all, just approach it all with a level
>head and youll be fine.

Like you said, a level head. Being an 18 year old makes that diificult for
me, as I'll still be in a fairly arrogant and self-assured stage which makes
advice ALL the better.

>A bunch of guys a while ago got together and produced Zzap! issue 107 (I
>believe - did anyone else here religiously read Zzap?) and, although it
>was 'printed' in PDF, did a remarkable job of producing a professional
>magazine with the same feel as the old paper issues.
>
>Anyway, keep us all posted, Id love to contribute!

I read Zzap, I'm not sure if I favoured that or the changed-to 'Commodore
Force' though. ;)
