These guys are good value..

They have had Suse8 and Mandrake 9.0 running on the Xbox.. 

If thats not enough, to prove they had control of they h/w, they ran win2k 
_inside_ linux, and then ran an mpeg4 movie at full screen within the win2k!

Apparently there is 2 ways to get linux running. Either as a "dual boot", 
where games can still be played as MS intended, or a hd blat where the MS 
code is replaced with a Linux disro.. Personally, the idea of NOT buying MS 
games after getting MS subsidised hardware has an appeal.

Another bit i read.. The hard disk is locked by a cryptographic algorthm 
sending a command to the IDE hardware. They worked out how it worked, hacked 
it, and it now happens faster than before (less iterations of the algorithm) 
using a made up secret code....

Some of the bits on the web page were written in MS office with win2k within 
linux, some were written using OpenOffice.org within Linux, on the Xbox..
