The directory services stuff would be awesome Grahame. Murdoch is in the 
process of LDAP/active directory(gak.)ing it's auth stuff (as far as I 
am aware.. I'm sysadmin for the Guild, and my relationship with the uni is
um... contraversial!) so yeah, in a big org like a uni this is pretty 
compli-fi-cated/important-ified stuff. I'd find it interesting to be sure.
Actually I'm proposing to em a paper on the role of Linux in student unions, 
which I'm hoping they are interested in as I think I've done some interesting 
things in, and which could play some role in the whole student rep movement.
