Summary:
"World domination. Fast" --Linus Torvalds.

It seems Linux is running everywhere these days. From the mainframe
right down to the PDA and everything in between. One Linux
distribution's latest release notes states that it 'supports a total of
eleven processor architectures' [1] and has been labeled the 'Universal
Operating System'. [2] You can even run it on Microsoft's Xbox !!! [3]
Just a few short years ago the mainstream media said it was only good
for use as a 'server platform'. But even now that notion appears to be
changing. Why at this very moment your corporate desktop may be under
going a metamorphose from the dark side to the light. Is it to be world
domination for Linux ??? At this stage there appears to be no way of
stopping it !!!

But what about those countries of the world that have no food, clean
water, reliable electricity, sufficient health services, decent
education for there people ??? What
use is software for them ??? Come and find out at this weeks PLUG
meeting and hear Michael Hunt talk about such things as :-

The Digital Divide
