Next problem- when I run:
m4 /usr/share/sendmail-cf/m4/cf.m4 config.mc > sendmail.cf
I get the error message:
NONE:0: m4: ERROR: EOF in string
Part of a sendmail.cf is created but it is much smaller than the 
original.  The config.mc file I am using is lifted from
http://www.moongroup.com/docs/offline/sendmail-offline.html

Where should I start looking?
