I agree it's sucky. ^_^

I had a similar problem with a simple 2-way Belkin KVM. My solution was to 
switch the K and V, and just have 2 Ms. (That way, I also get to plug my main 
mouse into the USB instead of PS2).

I'm used to it now, and having 2 mice is a lot less painful than having 2 
keyboards (or 2 monitors) (well, I HAVE 2 monitors, but that's because I have 
dual-head on my primary machine ^_^).
